Who we are

This website is run by The Nice Ideas Studio (Mark & Jake Dyble), the team behind the card game Fortuna. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact Jake at jake@fortunacards.com.

What data we collect

Newsletter sign-up. If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address. This is the only personal data we ask for, and it is used solely to send you updates about Fortuna — news, artwork previews, giveaways, and the Kickstarter launch.

Cookies and analytics. This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are most popular. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to collect this information, such as a random identifier, how long you spend on each page, and the general region you are visiting from. This data is used only for statistics and never to identify you personally or to advertise. Our newsletter service (Brevo) keeps track of your subscription status. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your cookie choice. If you are visiting from the UK, the EU or Switzerland, no analytics cookies are set until you accept them in the cookie banner. Declining is just as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of any page. Your choice is remembered on your own device, along with the date you made it and the version of this notice you were shown.

Legal basis for processing

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the sign-up form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

Who processes your data

Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Brevo, our email service provider, which stores your email address securely on our behalf. Site analytics are handled by Google (Google Analytics 4) as described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone else.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is removed from our active list.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). To exercise any of these rights, just get in touch.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced to our mailing list.
